Annual Terry Fox Run

Terry Fox was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He was raised in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia. Terry was an active teenager who was involved in a large variety of sporting events. Terry was only 18 years of age when he was given the devastating diagnosis of osteogenic sarcoma (bone cancer) and became forced to have his right leg amputated 15 centimetres (six inches) above the knee in the year 1977.

Our school will be participating in the Terry Fox run in memory of Terry, and everything he did and accomplished. Each student is asked to collect pledges. As a school if every student collected 10 dollars’ worth of pledges we would reach our goal of 3,500 dollars. Our prefect leadership team promises that if we reach our goal of 3,500 dollars they will be dying (with coloured hairspray) their hair our school colours (blue and orange).
