35 years ago, Terry Fox raised his leg out of the Atlantic Ocean and started a journey of inspiration and hope for the millions suffering from cancer. He ran a marathon a day, going from the Maritimes through to Thunder Bay, where his legendary exploits came to a tragic halt.
However, the spirit of Terry Fox lives on, throughout the country, including here and now at TPS, where the students are out running for the cause. It is a beautiful sunny morning for a run, and the students have been circumnavigating the school grounds running for the same reason as Mr. Fox - for the hope and the dream. From the infants to the Zone, everyone is participating in this incredible fitness-oriented activity.
As long as we believe, hope, and dream of a better future for everyone, the message of this day will endure forever.
