For the 4th time in as many years the Grade 7 & 8 students from Tall Pines School participated in the City of Brampton Remembrance Day Ceremony at the Cenotaph in front of City Hall. As participants the students get to march in the parade, stand in a place of honour during the ceremony and place a wreath on cenotaph. It is really important for out older students to get a sense of how important these ceremonies are to our community. As they were growing up they participated in the assemblies here at school. The City of Brampton ceremony is a whole new event, from pipe bands, to armoured cars, to thousands of people observing, and even bi-planes flying over. It is very well orchestrated and large in scale. We always take a moment to pay our respects to some of the war veterans in attendance and by doing so it adds to their understanding that the world is bigger then just them and their daily problems.
