Blue Mountain - A Great Day on the Hills!

Blue Mountain is a site of some epic skiing. The conditions were pretty good. Plenty of snow, a bit of ice (careful negotiating those hazards!), but as always - long runs, great views, and even a bit of fun.

Blue Mountain has some fascinating history to it. Did you know the first lift consisted of two sleds pulled up the hill by a cable running on the ground and powered by a truck engine? I didn't either until I read it on Wikipedia just now and then promptly posted that information to this blog.

Anyway, the students have all checked in and retired to their rooms for the evening. Big day tomorrow, lots of snow to carve!

The view from our suites. (At least the ones on this side of the hall. But I hear those on the other side have a glorious view of the parking lot.
